Factory Reset

If there is an error showing on the fridge screen, you might be able to solve it by doing a factory reset:

Method 1

  1. Press at hold the {Power Save} and {Lighting} buttons together for 5 seconds.

Method 2

  1. Press at hold the {Fridge} and {Freezer} buttons together for 5 seconds.

Demo Mode

If your Samsung Fridge/Freezer appears to be powered but is not cooling, it's very possible that the fridge is in "Demo Mode". Follow our instructions below to disable Demo/Store mode:

Method 1

  1. Press {Energy Saving} and {Freezer} temp buttons together for 3 seconds.

Method 2

  1. Press {Power Freeze} and {Freezer} temp buttons together for 3 seconds. (On some models you need to hold for 8 seconds)

Method 3

  1. Press {Ice Mode} and {Freezer} buttons together for 3 seconds.

Family Hub

The "Family Hub" is the touchscreen/tablet system located on front of some Samsung fridges. If the touchscreen is non responsive you might need to reset it using the instructions below:

  1. Open the fridge door and locate the removable panel at the top right corner of the upper right fridge door.
  2. Open the removable panel by gently pushing it upwards.
  3. There will be a red switch inside the door, flick the switch and wait 15 seconds before flicking it back the other way.
  4. The Samsung logo should appear as the touchscreen/tablet goes through a reboot process.
