LG Magic Remote
The LG Magic Remote acts as a universal remote with auto device detection for most devices, you can use voice commands, mouse-like control and the click wheel to manage your entertainment and smart home and TV from your sofa. In some cases it might appear that the LG Magic remote is not working, when actually it just needs to be reset and re-paired. If your LG Magic remote is no longer controlling your TV set then you might just need to reset and re-pair it to your set:
Reset Instructions (2010-2011)
If your LG magic remote no longer works with your TV, chances are that it will just need to be reset:
- Press and hold {OK} and {Mute} buttons for 5 seconds.
- Power light should blink to indicate reset successful.
- Now point the remote close to the TV and press {OK} - the TV should indicate that the remote has been re-paired.
Reset Instructions (2012 Onwards)
- Press and hold {Smart} or {Home} and {Back} buttons for 5 seconds.
- Power light should blink to indicate reset successful.
- Now point the remote close to the TV and press {OK} - the TV should indicate that the remote has been re-paired.
